Capuchin monkeys, like all non-human primates, are highly intelligent, agile, gregarious and curious. They are one of the New World species of primates who are indigenous to Mexico and South and Central America.
Small and lean, capuchin monkeys can cover 27 feet in a single jump.
The intelligence of capuchin monkeys is shown in their use of tools. They will use boulders, some of them weighing as much as themselves, to crack open fruit to get to the nut inside.
